Last Friday was a day I'd been looking forward to for at least six months: We reached full term with baby #3!!! (Those of you who have been around for a while may remember that my son was born at 31 weeks three years ago, and so there was a lot of anxiety this pregnancy about whether we'd have another preemie.) But praise God, we're at 37 weeks, everything's looking great, and I'm working hard to finish up some final projects before baby girl makes her arrival in the next few weeks. If she stays put a bit longer, I might get another newsletter or two out before she makes her debut, but I wanted to make sure I at least got this note out beforehand. Monday Marketing Musings will be taking a break while I am on maternity leave, but you can expect me back in your inbox in early 2026 with all things marketing like Jesus! (I'd had big plans of having newsletters scheduled throughout leave but...do what I say, not what I do haha) In the meantime, especially if you're a newer subscriber, I encourage you to take a look through past newsletters as there are so many tips in there, especially as you prepare for the busy season coming up: https://gloriammarketing.ck.page/ Just scroll back to this time last year for all of those notes! But more importantly, I wanted to make a request: If you have any prayer requests or intentions, I would be honored to offer one of my contractions for your intention. You can submit prayer intentions here.
My plan is to print these out and focus on one during each contraction, offering it up for the intention listed. And if I don't get to them all, I'll offer up a night feeding for it instead! So please submit any prayer requests you have, and know that I am praying for you and your work always. For His greater glory, Emily |
I teach Catholic churches, businesses, and ministries how to market like Jesus. Every Monday, I send out the latest musings on Catholic marketing from my position as a Catholic marketing professional, former parish employee, and regular old Catholic mom trying not to lose my mind while raising saints. Subscribe if you want to learn how to apply the strategies Jesus and the apostles used to grow the Early Church to your own marketing work today!
I always know when something I'm working on is really good. Not by my own marketing merits — but when the work being done is just truly Christ-centered. How? Because the spiritual attacks are THROUGH THE ROOF. Everything goes inexplicably wrong right before a youth group meeting? Yep, that must mean it's going to be an INCREDIBLE meeting where hearts are going to be drawn to Jesus. Working on a project for a client and met with roadblock after roadblock? I praise God for the incredible work...
"Look at this," I said to my husband, showing him the stack of ads we'd gotten in the mail. You know the kind, the ones that come in an envelope of offers from local businesses, 90% of which are home improvement-focused. Most normal people look through the stack, pull out any they want, and then recycle the rest. I, however, am not normal. Instead, I save them for my husband to rant about all of the marketing errors I see in them. (It's one of the perks of being married to me, I'm sure he'd...
My Friday was a rager, y'all. I spent most of my work time battling with WordPress settings for a Catholic school website I'm building. I know, try to hold back your jealousy. It was one of those, I'm doing the right things, this should be working, WHY IS THIS NOT SHOWING UP LIVE?! kind of things. (Turns out, there was a setting hidden in the column level that was overriding my changes at the universal level because...why?! The world may never know.) And as I sat there getting more and more...
